The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators is opening its doors to submissions for its 2022 Undiscovered Voices anthology. If you’re a writer of children’s or YA, keep an eye out for this. Submissions open 14 June!
The Watson, Little Prize
The Watson, Little Literary Agency has launched an international writing prize to celebrate the agency’s 50th anniversary – this prize is open to unagented writers over 50 writing upmarket fiction, so if you were 50 or older on 9 February 2021, this one's for you!
‘Opening the Book’ with Hachette
Calling all aspiring writers (and those interested in learning about publishing)! Hachette have recently unveiled their latest event series, Opening the Book, which includes ten free virtual panels “designed to demystify publishing and make the industry more transparent and accessible to under-represented groups.” More information here.
Bath Children’s Novel Award 2021
The Bath Children’s Novel Award 2021 is now open to submissions from unpublished, self-published and independently published writers of children’s and YA fiction. Submissions close on 30 November 2021 and sponsored places are available for those on low-income. See here for more details.
